We are journalists. We are proud of what we do. We are tired of bad press about the press. We are trying to be "team players." We are terrified of more layoffs and paycuts. We would like to produce quality work without 'obamasux99' posting some non-sequitur rant at the end of it. We complain because we want things to be better. We would like some respect, plz. We are journalists.
Yesterday, when asked about what my dream was I simply said: “to tell stories”. The main reason why I’m studying Journalism is because I’ve always loved to tell stories. I want to tell stories that matter. I want to make sure that those unheard stories will be heard. I want to tell the story of my motherland, Indonesia, and its beautiful nature and people. I want to tell stories that remind people there’s a whole world out there they still need to explore.
I am an aspiring journalist.
