We are journalists. We are proud of what we do. We are tired of bad press about the press. We are trying to be "team players." We are terrified of more layoffs and paycuts. We would like to produce quality work without 'obamasux99' posting some non-sequitur rant at the end of it. We complain because we want things to be better. We would like some respect, plz. We are journalists.

I dreamed of being a writer since I was 9 years old, living in the suburbs of Toronto, and never thought I’d ever actually get the chance. Now I’m the editor of a music website in London, and I can’t believe my luck. I’m underpaid for what I do, sometimes I have to post stories I don’t want write because we have deals with PRs and sponsors, and I never, ever switch off. But when I think about giving it up, I just can’t. I love the buzz I get from being the first to report something and I love watching the publication grow. I’m a journalist.
